Volunteer with us
Our volunteers are the heart and soul of what we do here at COSS. We currently have around 45 volunteers who contribute over 6,300 hours each year to serving the Broomhouse community.
They get involved in the day-to-day delivery of our services by serving Foodbank and Pantry visitors, sorting stock, collecting deliveries and driving our vans.
We value the contribution of our volunteers, and are always looking for people to join our team. If you have some time to commit, and a passion to work with the people in this community, we would love to hear from you.
You could get involved with:
- Foodbank & Pantry – sorting and organising food donations, rotating stock and keeping our storeroom tidy.
- Emergency food parcels – preparing food parcels for individuals and families who are living in poverty.
- Driving & deliveries – helping to drive our vans to collect donations or deliver supplies.
- Care Van – helping out with our outreach service, supporting the team and serving homeless clients from the van.
- Donations & stock – sorting, organising and preparing donated items so they can reach the people who need them.
- Community events – helping at events, activities and fundraising days.
- Behind the scenes – there are also plenty of practical jobs that help keep our services running smoothly.
