The Broomhouse community came together last week to enjoy the festivities at Broomhouse Street Party.
Jointly hosted by COSS, Space@the Hub, B Healthy Together and St David’s Parish Church, the annual event saw over 1,600 people gather to soak up the party atmosphere.

Our tombola proved a huge hit with hoards of people queuing for tickets to have a shot at winning prizes donated by The Big Hoose. Volunteers and staff were on hand to chat to clients and supporters about the services we offer and find out more about the needs of our community.

Entertainment came from a diverse line up of performers including a Ukrainian choir and a beat boxer. Two performers from the Edinburgh Fringe upped the danger element by juggling fire, cracking whips and lying on a bed of nails! Vintage Vibes set up shop in St David’s church where they served refreshments while visitors enjoyed listening to some golden oldies being beautifully performed.

Each guest was given a voucher to choose a snack from a range of food producers, and children were invited to get a frozen treat from the ice cream van.

In additional to our regular team of fantastic volunteers, we had 3 helpers from iMultiply who have selected us to be one of their Charities of the Year.

Thanks to everyone who came along on the day to help out, and of course to all those organisations who hosted, planned and offered their services.
