COSS Annual Day Out – East Links Family Park

Families from the Broomhouse area enjoyed a fun-packed day out at East Links Family Park during the school holidays. 28 excited children and 17 carers were transported by coach to the East Lothian farm.

The sun put in a rare appearance as the families got stuck in to the different activities the park had to offer. They had a chance to feed the animals including goats, sheep, cows and horses, while the more adventurous pedalled a go kart to visit llamas and wallabies.

The adventure park was a hit with the young and old alike, with an impressive line-up of contenders braving the super-fast slide in the fort.

At lunchtime, everyone gathered at the picnic tables to enjoy a packed lunch, and Hunter celebrated his 4th birthday with a cake and some enthusiastic singing. There were ice creams all round later, thanks to the generous team at I Love Broomhouse, before the coach returned to take a tired, but happy crowd back to their homes.
